Program Quality and Compliance Intern (Paid)

After School Matters is a nonprofit organization that offers Chicago public high school teens high quality, out-of-school-time opportunities to explore and develop their talents, while gaining critical skills for work, college, and beyond. Our hands-on, project-based arts, science, sports, technology, and communications programs are delivered at Chicago public high schools, at community locations throughout the city, and downtown at Gallery 37 Center for the Arts.   

 

Summary of Position:

This position will support the Program Quality and Compliance Department with a wide range of projects related to community provider assessments, technical support, program and contract compliance,  and other compliance-related projects. This position is a good fit for someone who is detail oriented and interested in learning about organizational systems and infrastructure.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with data quality and program compliance projects, including identifying and cleaning duplicate data from database
  • Answer questions from parents and teens about online application (phone calls and emails) and potential providers regarding the renewal and/or RFP processes
  • Develop provider training manuals
  • Generate data reports on an as-needed basis
  • Create school-specific ASM program snapshot for CPS principals using various reports, analyzing program data, and mail-merging them into a template
  • Assist and/or conduct compliance assessments for community providers
  • Complete manual data entry when required
  • Support team with administrative tasks (e.g. copying, scanning)
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently attending a post-secondary institution, in an undergraduate or graduate program
